With breathtaking views of nearby landmarks such as the HMS Belfast and The Shard, this beautiful apartment required a flooring solution that would match the elegance of its surroundings. To this end, the client chose Seashell from our Tundra Plank collection after viewing a sample at the New Homes Flooring exhibition standâŠ
âOur lovely client met us at the Ideal Home Show 2023. We exhibited as Floor Club, our branch which is dedicated to servicing homeowners with our great service and expertise. We created a fantastic display, showcasing V4 wood, which led to this client falling in love with the TK104 Seashell Plank.â
Following the Ideal Homes show, the client booked a free of charge consultation with Chester and the team, whereby they measured the clientâs luxury London apartment, before quoting for the installation of a brand new, V4 floor for the home. As soon as the team at New Homes Flooring got the green light to start the work, they began meticulously uplifting the ceramic tiles that had run throughout the apartment prior, ensuring no damage to the apartment and communal areas. Despite finding damp under the pre-existing ceramics, the team were able to work closely with an underfloor heating specialist to resolve the issue, ensuring they could stick to the clientâs tight timeline.
The floor chosen was Seashell plank from our Tundra collection. Complete with a subtle blend of white oils, this European oak engineered plank offers a hardwearing, contemporary solution, perfect for modern design. Thanks to their elegant style, the two-metre-long boards draw your eye along the board, opening the room and giving the illusion of space â perfect for any apartment design. Whatâs more, once cured the colour oils also provide a hardwearing finish, perfect for busy areas such as kitchens and hallways, without compromising on quality or design.

TK104 Seashell Plank
TK104 Seashell Plank is created using a subtle blend of white oils which are buffed into a lightly brushed surface to give the impression of a raw untreated oak. The oil is then cured under UV light to give a durable and beautiful oak floor. Tundra plank is an elegant board with a unique birch ply construction which gives it ultimate stability. TK104 Seashell Plank is available as a herringbone floor here.
