James Vincent, grandfather of V4’s founders, begins his career as a floor fitter in Barking, Essex. His skill and dedication to the craft lay the groundwork for generations to come.

James sets up his own flooring business in Addlestone, Surrey. With help from his wife, who hand-makes intricate linking panels from their garden shed, the Vincent family business starts to take shape.

Ray Vincent, James’s son, opens a new flooring company and pioneers one of the first warehouse-style flooring showrooms in the UK, bringing choice and design inspiration to the public in a brand new way.

2000
Brothers Chris and Nathan Vincent officially launch V4 Wood Flooring, blending decades of family expertise with a bold vision: to create premium, design-led wood floors with sustainability at the core.

V4 opens its first dedicated warehouse in Send, Surrey. A step towards becoming one of the UK’s most recognised wood flooring specialists.

2002
Business growth prompts a move to larger premises at Greenbays Park in Woking. The team expands, new collections are launched, and the brand begins to gain national recognition.

2018
Our on-site showroom is built and opened, giving customers, designers, and trade professionals a dedicated space to experience our floors and discuss their projects in person.

V4 marks its 25th anniversary with features in leading industry publications. What began with two brothers now stands as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of engineered wood flooring, distributing to a network of retailers across the UK and Ireland.
