London based singer songwriter, beauty influencer and content creator, CC Clarke, has transformed her 1960’s home, completely re-imagining the spaces, featuring Tundra Seashell in Chevron and Plank formats
When CC first moved into the property, she recognised its potential for renovation and extension, though she didn’t anticipate the scale the project would eventually reach.
“Once I started making plans they escalated, and I ended up pretty much building a whole new home with a completely transformed layout. It was a huge challenge, but something I absolutely loved doing—creating a home that is my sanctuary, creative hub, and the place that grounds me and my children.”
Designing the home herself, with support from a close friend, CC spent countless hours researching ideas online and drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, including boutique hotels, city breaks, nature and fashion editorials.
“I had so many mood boards on the go, but I trusted my instincts. If a material, colour or texture shifted my energy in a positive way, it made the cut. I like inventing new ideas and if it made me happy, I went for it. For me it wasn’t just about how something looked — it had to feel right.”
Creating a natural sense of flow throughout the home became a central design principle.
“Flow was essential. I see the house as an ecosystem, with each space needing to connect seamlessly. At the same time, I wanted moments of curiosity within that flow—hidden doors, marble meeting oak. I wanted to walk through the house and feel as though it was telling a story; one continuous journey of light, texture and energy.”
Flooring played a critical role in achieving this sense of connection, and a real wood floor was always CC’s first choice.
“Real wood has a soul, a presence—it grounds you. I wanted something authentic underfoot that would age beautifully and carry its own story.”
“It would be the anchor of the design - the canvas everything else would be layered upon. When I saw the Tundra Seashell finish my connection to it was instant. It felt timeless yet modern, with a luminous softness that reflected light in such an uplifting way. It stood out immediately and photographed beautifully. I often refer to it as a ‘happy shade of oak’.”
At the heart of the home is a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living space that connects directly to the garden. This central area inspired CC’s decision to install the Seashell Chevron design across the ground floor.
“Chevron adds subtle drama—a statement that doesn’t shout but whispers with modern elegance. On the ground floor, where life is busier and more social, the Chevron creates rhythm and movement, almost like a visual dance across the space.”
The flooring flows effortlessly through the expansive kitchen and into adjoining, more intimate living spaces, visually connecting these rooms. The natural oak finish also allows indoor living to naturally flow outdoors into the garden.
Upstairs, the same Seashell finish continues in a plank format. "The bedrooms are about calm and serenity, so planks felt like a more natural choice—grounding and restful, with a sense of continuity that allows you to fully exhale when you step inside the rooms.
"For both the upstairs and downstairs, the Tundra Seashell shade is perfection. It’s soft, neutral and uplifting. It adapts to every mood and palette—from airy, sunlit mornings to moody, candlelit evenings. It makes the rooms feel expansive and alive, and works effortlessly with all of my colours and textures.”
When it came to furnishing the home, CC curated an eclectic mix of pieces that combine character, personality and modern design.
“I wanted every piece to feel intentional, as though it belonged to the narrative of the house. It’s a blend of curated investments, soulful finds and playful elements that bring joy. Some of my favourite pieces in the living room are actually Facebook Marketplace finds, including my dining table and a £50 chaise lounge, paired with my whimsical rug. I love layering eclectic colour on top of classic décor.”
The home’s colour palette centres on warm whites, soft greys and earthy undertones—shades that allow light to move naturally through the space while providing a calming backdrop for bold artwork and flashes of neon colour.
The statement kitchen was designed as a bespoke installation by ACJ Joinery, Any Kitchen Ltd, and RAK Ceramics, forming a striking centrepiece within the open-plan space.
The finished home is a fusion of contemporary elegance and soulful warmth, where timeless design foundations meet playful creativity.
“It feels chic and elevated, but also full of life, energy, and comfort. I adore the light. There’s a flow to the house that carries you from one space to the next seamlessly.
“I wanted to design a home that could hold all versions of me - the mother, the musician, the entrepreneur, and the dreamer. Most importantly, it’s a place that gives me a feeling of safety, where calm and creativity coexist, supporting every aspect of mine and my little girls Birdy and Goldie’s life.”
When it comes to the finished wood floors, they have exceeded CC’s expectations. “It’s not just flooring – they are the heartbeat of the home. Beautiful, tactile, with a quiet strength that grounds everything else around it I have never loved a floor more, and it truly set the tone for everything that followed.”
“I also have to thank the team at V4. They were so knowledgeable, supportive and patient, and genuinely invested in helping me bring my vision to life. You can tell they care deeply about both the product and the people they work with.”
