Little Green Rooms install beautifully designed garden rooms across the South of England, featuring our sustainable cork wall panels as a signature element.
Founded in 2021 during the COVID era, Little Green Rooms was born from a clear shift in how people work. “It was a time when home working became a necessity, but most homes were never designed for it. We saw an opportunity to create a better solution: beautifully designed garden spaces that offer the separation, focus, and headspace people need to do their best work.”
While lockdowns have passed, the impact on working habits remains. For many, home working has evolved into a long-term lifestyle, with more people choosing to work, create, and build businesses from home.
“From the outset, our ethos has been centred around people and planet: design-led thinking, sustainable materials, and a personal service from first conversation to final installation. That mindset hasn’t changed. Even as we’ve grown from a small group of friends to a team of nearly 30, we’re committed to keeping everything simple – and sustainable.”
This commitment to sustainability, paired with a strong design focus, led Little Green Rooms to V4’s cork solutions. “For us, sustainability isn’t a feature – it’s a responsibility. From responsibly sourced timber cladding and recycled plastic insulation to cork walls and screw pile foundations, every element is carefully considered. V4’s cork is a perfect fit.”
Many of the company’s room designs now feature our Amorim / Wicanders cork wall panels – a sustainable interior solution that enhances both residential and commercial environments.
Combining innovative technology with the natural beauty of cork, the collection delivers distinctive designs with exceptional, environmentally responsible performance.
Harvested from the bark of cork oak trees without harming the tree itself, cork is one of the most sustainable materials used in modern design – renewable, biodegradable, and environmentally responsible. It also offers excellent thermal insulation, helping spaces stay warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
“Introducing V4’s cork into our designs has been an ideal match – not just for performance and sustainability, but also for achieving a natural, organic feel in our workspace interiors. The team have been fantastic to work with too, clearly sharing the same passion we have for personal service and considered products.”
As the business continues to grow, Little Green Rooms is now designing and installing their cabin solutions, customised for each client, across the South of England and into Wales.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our product, process, and outcomes, and we’re incredibly proud of the feedback we receive.
“We are the only garden room company dedicated to home working, and from climate control to cork walls for pinning inspiration, every detail has been chosen and designed to create the ultimate working environment – offering professional focus and a creative sanctuary.”
When asked about top tips for designing a garden room, they said: “The most important thing to factor in is how you'll use the space and what’s important to you. If you plan to be in there every day of the year, then perhaps include climate control. If you love nature, face it towards the garden. If you need natural light, be sure to add large windows. Musical? Add soft furnishings like our homemade curtains. Big family? Get one big enough for a sofa. Don’t just get a big one and decide what to do with it later. Allow yourself to dream a little and plan for how you really want to use it.”
