Case Study

Emmanuelle Sirven, Shepherds Bush.

This Edwardian home in Shepherds Bush has had its elegance restored after being transformed by Architectural Designer Emmanualle Sirven, who adds ZB204 Shore Drift Oak to its living spaces.

Architectural Designer Emmanualle Sirven is no stranger to putting her interior talents to period homes, and this characterful Edwardian Home in Brook Green, Shepherds Bush was another major renovation project for her where she was tasked with turning tired spaces back into an elegant home. "Elegance was at the heart of what my client

wanted, restoring the home to create impressive spaces that embraced its original character, whilst also introducing modern elements for that classic contemporary feel.” Central to the home’s living spaces was its L-shaped open plan kitchen, dining and living area.

“This space would form the heart of the home and I wanted to embrace its Edwardian heritage with dark coloured walls and high level cabinetry. I wanted to find a contrasting wood floor that would then lift the room with the use of lighter tones. Knowing the V4 Collections well, Shore Drift Oak was my instant first choice and my client agreed."

“It creates such a great sense of space and light due to its colour, and the herringbone pattern is a natural nod to period character, but in modern form.”

Shore Drift Oak contrasts beautifully with both the darker walls and the lighter beige facades of the kitchen cabinetry. Natural light streams through the large period sash windows, reflecting across the floor’s surface and illuminating the room.

“I had a clear vision for this home and it’s been so rewarding to watch everything come together and see how well it all fits. These wood floors were the perfect choice. They feel so elegant whilst also bringing a light and modern look into the home. They also create a natural flow between the different uses of the open plan space.”

Our Shore Drift Oak floors have been designed to bring a look of raw untreated oak into the home. The oak surface is simply brushed and sealed with an invisible natural lacquer to maintain the woods authenticity, whilst providing a protective surface. The result is a floor that is both distinctive and natural in design, and a perfect fit in both traditional and modern home design.
