Coppa Club, Guildford
Located in Guildford High Street, Coppa Club have opened their doors to their brand-new restaurant featuring Deco Plank and Parquet in Tannery Brown
First opening their doors in 2015, Coppa Club is famous for creating beautiful Clubhouses that offer a tailored experience for any occasion, whether it be a work meeting over lunch, or dinner and cocktails on a Saturday night. The latest addition to the ‘something for everyone’ clubs is the Guildford Townhouse located in the historic Burton Building in the heart of Guildford’s busy Highstreet. Designed by the London based creative design house, Run For The Hills, every aspect of the interior was crafted to create a space that was not only well thought out in terms of the restaurants operations, but also is in keeping with traditional Art Deco style.
“From the intricate detail of the bar area to the cozy corners in the café, there is a seamless aesthetic running throughout the clubhouse.”
Offering various areas for guests to enjoy, including the Club Lounge, Café Bar a Workspace and a Cocktail Bar, it was important to make sure each section had its own identity whilst maintaining consistent design identities throughout. With V4’s matching Deco Parquet and Deco Plank collection, this was beautifully achieved with Tannery Brown Engineered Wood Flooring, specified by Run For The Hills, and expertly installed by Bridge Flooring.
“New to the Deco collection and available in both plank and engineered herringbone, Tannery Brown is a subtly distressed oak floor with an abundance of rustic charm. With tumbled edges and a pitted surface, the oak boards have an aged appearance that provides the perfect base note for the opulent ‘speak-easy’ stylings of the Coppa Club.”
The colour oiled surface provides warming, varied tones that create a beautiful juxtaposition of the black and white tiles and warmed pastel colours of the mid-century furnishings. Additionally, the UV Oiled finish offers a durable surface, making it perfect for commercial use in this busy restaurant.
We caught up with Tommee O’Hara from Bridge Flooring who spoke with us on his experience working with V4, and installing Tannery Brown. When it came to the installation, Tommee explains:
“It was very easy to fit, the flooring went together well and the variation was easy to manage”.
With over 40 years of experience, Bridge Flooring completed the installation to the highest of standards, with the owner of the franchise complementing the fit out, saying it was the “Best in the franchise yet!”.
When discussing his favourite part of the flooring design, Tommee complimented the ZB206 Tannery Brown herringbone:
“It has such beautiful tones, and the parquet looks amazing on the ground floor. This product really does have the wow factor!”

ZB206 Tannery Brown
ZB206 Tannery Brown has a rich timbre of well worn leather with deep chestnut brown notes, with the edition of a randomly pitted surface and tumble distressed bevel that accentuates a time worn aesthetic. Tannery Brown is as well suited to modern design as it is to a classic country home or contemporary urban dwelling or work area. Sealed with coats of UV cured natural oil, this oak floor is given deep lustre that glows, whilst offering practical durability for use in throughout any living space. Unlike traditional parquet blocks, the Deco Parquet Herringbone range of floors are engineered with a thick oak top layer with bevelled edges bonded to a hardwood ply base, which means they can be bonded to any flat surface including over low energy underfloor heating systems.
